Her husband relaxes with a drink; she prefers a hit off a joint. But that’s against the law. In the novel Stash, privileged suburban life intersects with the drug world when a mom is arrested for possessing a small bag of pot following a car accident.

Gwen, the mother of two young kids and active in the school PTA, is pressured to reveal her source by a local police detective battling an increase in drug incidents in their community. To save her reputation and protect her family, Gwen gives up the name of Jude, the old friend and lover who supplied her, only to doubt her decision and become entangled in his life. A businessman and father who raised a daughter on his own, Jude is working on a deal that will help him retire but is distracted by his rediscovered attraction to Gwen.  

A social drama in the style of Tom Perrotta’s Little Children and reminiscent of some of today’s innovative films (Crash, Babel), Stash is a character-driven novel that follows a diverse group of characters whose decisions put them and those they love at risk.
